WALTHAM, Mass., July 16, 2019The Bowdoin Group, an executive search firm with deep expertise in leadership search, team expansions, and Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) services for innovative companies, today announced several senior-level promotions, including the promotion of Scott Aldsworth to President, a new role for the firm and key move highlighting the significant year-over-year growth Bowdoin has experienced.

Scott Aldsworth joined The Bowdoin Group in late 2016 as its first Chief Revenue Officer after decades of industry experience building and managing professional services teams at both venture capital and private equity backed firms. In this role, he was responsible for Bowdoin’s sales and marketing teams, overseeing the go-to-market strategy across all market verticals. He has driven 85% revenue growth over three years, recently securing the firm’s top 10 ranking in the Boston Business Journal’s list of “Largest Executive Search Firms in Massachusetts (by Revenue).” In his new role, Scott will be responsible for all sales, marketing, and delivery outcomes across Bowdoin’s executive and strategic search and team expansions services.

The firm promoted Katelyn Marini to Managing Director. Prior to the promotion, Katelyn served as a Principal, where she was responsible for managing key accounts within the Digital Health and BioPharma practices, partnering with clients, including Synthego, Berkeley Lights, AbleTo, and Quil, to hire top-tier industry talent. In her new role, Katelyn will continue to expand Bowdoin’s presence in these key vertical markets.

Kara Barr has been promoted to Vice President of Delivery. Kara joined the firm in December 2018 as Head of Recruiting, bringing more than a decade of executive search experience in both recruiting and research functions. Prior to joining The Bowdoin Group, she led the research and recruiting team at WinterWyman, with responsibility for the full-cycle recruitment of executive-level placements. Before that, she spent three years at Egon Zehnder where she specialized in Board of Director placements and Data and Analytics executive search. In her new role, Kara will be responsible for overseeing all of the firm’s delivery functions, including recruiting, research, and operations.

Lindsey Potvin was promoted to Vice President of RPO Services and Team Expansions, amplifying the responsibilities of her previous role. Lindsey, who joined the firm in 2013, has held multiple roles overseeing Bowdoin’s operations and research teams. Before joining Bowdoin, she served as Director at FactSet Research Systems, where she managed a team of 50 consultants and worked closely with clients to understand their business needs for staffing, recruiting, hiring, training, and strategic planning. In her new role, Lindsey will be responsible for delivering excellence through execution of Bowdoin’s RPO services and commercial build-outs, creating and providing customized solutions for clients who are experiencing rapid growth.

“We’re thrilled with the growth we’ve experienced under Scott’s leadership and have the utmost confidence he will take the company great places in his new role as President,” said Dave Melville, Founder and CEO of The Bowdoin Group. “Promoting him, Katelyn, Kara, and Lindsey into their new roles will enable us to tap into the depth and breadth of their experience and skills, so we can continue to deliver excellent service for our clients.”
