ViVE 2025: Key Takeaways from 48 Hours in Nashville

Blog Posts

Posted by Bowdoin on March 5, 2025

After an intense 48 hours at ViVE in Nashville, I left with a clearer pulse on where the healthcare and healthtech industries are headed in 2025. While some uncertainty still lingers, the overall sentiment is shifting toward strategic growth, decisive action, and a renewed focus on commercial execution. Here are my top takeaways from this year’s event:

1. The Market Is Gearing Up for Revenue Growth in 2025

There’s growing optimism that strong commercial execution will lead to revenue rebounds this year. Companies are refining their go-to-market strategies, and many executives I spoke with believe the industry is moving past survival mode into a period of renewed expansion. This has already shown up in Q4 numbers from 2024 and, with strong execution, should continue in 2025 with some obstacles in the way.

2. The New Era of Bold Decision-Making

Gone are the days of hesitation—leaders are making the tough calls necessary to position their companies for success. Whether it’s restructuring, strategic hiring, or product pivots, the industry seems to be embracing a more proactive approach.

3. AI: The Buzzword That’s Here to Stay

If your business name doesn’t include “AI,” you’re officially in the minority. While AI remains a hot topic, the conversation has matured from hype to practical application—companies are now focusing on how to effectively integrate AI into workflows to drive measurable outcomes.

4. Hiring Trends Are Shifting from Replacement to Growth

One of the biggest indicators of market confidence? Our search discussions are increasingly focused on growth-driven hires rather than replacement roles. This signals that organizations are preparing to scale rather than simply maintaining operations.

5. ViVE Felt Less Hectic, but the Right People Stayed Busy

The conference itself wasn’t as overwhelming as in previous years, yet key industry players remained fully booked with back-to-back meetings. This suggests a shift towards more intentional networking, strategic meetings and targeted business development.

6. Revenue Clarity Is Helping Shape Operational Plans

While uncertainty still exists, there’s more transparency around revenue projections, which is giving leadership teams the confidence to make strategic operational decisions. That kind of clarity is a critical step in rebuilding industry momentum.

7. Investors Still See a Valuation Disconnect

Despite improving business fundamentals, investors continue to perceive a gap between a company’s stated value and its actual market worth. Aligning valuation expectations will remain a critical discussion point as we move forward.

8. And Lastly… The Wristbands Were Impossible to Remove

No ViVE recap would be complete without acknowledging the infamous event wristbands—if you know, you know.

ViVE 2025 reinforced that while healthcare innovation is advancing rapidly, strategic execution and operational clarity will be the differentiators in the year ahead.

If you were at ViVE, what were your biggest takeaways?
