Skip brings 20+ years of financial services and venture capital expertise, with a deep focus on supporting the life science and healthcare sectors. Joining The Bowdoin Group in 2025 as Managing Director, Investor Partnerships Skip leads the firm’s strategy working with venture capital and private equity firms, specifically focusing on supporting the success of their high-growth portfolio companies.
Prior to joining The Bowdoin Group, Skip held senior leadership roles at leading financial institutions focused on innovation and growth. Most recently, as a Managing Director and Relationship Executive at J.P. Morgan Commercial Banking, Skip helped expand the firm’s national venture capital coverage in life sciences and healthcare, partnering with investors and their portfolio companies to deliver financial solutions across every stage of growth. Before J.P. Morgan, Skip spent 17 years at Silicon Valley Bank, where he led U.S. Life Science and Healthcare Credit Solutions. There, he built deep sector expertise and advised emerging companies on financing strategies through critical stages of scale. Based in Boston, Skip brings a unique ability to connect investors and operators, helping align capital with innovation to drive meaningful outcomes across the next generation of growth-stage companies.
Skip has been a long-standing member of the Life Science Cares Board of Advisors here in Boston.
Skip grew up in a family business in southern Maine and is very proud of his roots. He graduated with a BS in Finance from Boston College. When he’s not spending time on lacrosse fields or in hockey rinks watching his kids, he enjoys a casual run, a day on the golf course or trying the newest restaurant in Boston. He and his wife Carolyn live in Andover with their four children, and dog.
