Dave founded The Bowdoin Group over 25 years ago in a small, windowless office, and has successfully built it into a sustainable business with over 45 employees across the U.S. with offices in Waltham and Boston. Dave’s focus as CEO is on providing superior service through a strategic business approach, exceptional industry expertise, and an obsessive pursuit of excellence. With over 30 years of search experience, Dave leads Bowdoin’s strategic planning initiatives and is involved as a key resource for the firm’s growing client base.
Dave’s passion for Life Sciences and Healthcare stems from his work and personal experiences, seeing firsthand what innovations in BioTech can provide. His expertise includes executive and strategic searches within the Clinical/Scientific, Medical Affairs, Commercial, and Finance & General Administration fields; in addition, he has managed searches for large-scale commercial team expansions and build-outs for pre-clinical trial BioPharma companies.
Dave’s commitment to helping people who are underserved in the local community can be seen through his involvement with several nonprofits, where he sits on the Boards of Directors for both Hack.Diversity and Life Science Cares, along with the Board of Trustees for the Health Equity International. He previously served on the Board of Trustees for Nativity Preparatory School Boston.
Prior to founding Bowdoin, Dave worked for Procter & Gamble and also held various roles in the staffing industry. Dave holds a B.A. in Government from Bowdoin College.
