WALTHAM, Mass., January 29, 2019 – The Bowdoin Group, an executive search firm with deep expertise in leadership search and strategic build-outs for innovative companies, announced the expansion of their team with the strategic hiring of a new Head of Recruiting and two new Senior Consultants.
Kara Barr joins Bowdoin as Head of Recruiting. Kara has extensive experience in executive search, bringing over a decade of search and research experience to her role and an excellent reputation in the market.Kara Barr She will be responsible for overseeing all recruiting functions and team members, including developing and optimizing the firm’s execution and executive search process. Previously, she served as the Delivery Team Manager for WinterWyman Executive Search where she was responsible for managing the firm’s research and recruiting team. Prior to that, she served as a Research Associate at Egon Zehnder where she specialized in Board of Director and executive-level placements for roles specific to Data and Analytics expertise. Kara also developed and managed executive relationships as well as conducted market research as a Senior Research Manager in the Consumer Goods & Services practice area at Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG). She received a B.A. in Economics from Bates College.
Joining as Senior Consultant, Brian Gatti brings his expertise in executive and human resources recruiting. Prior to joining The Bowdoin Group, Brian served as Director of Research for GattiHR, a national executive search firm focused on the search and placement of Human Resources professionals, where Brian conducted searches for HR executives. Prior to GattiHR, Brian spent nearly 13 years at State Street managing teams within the Trade Processing and Wealth Management divisions. He received his B.S. in Business Management from Providence College, and currently sits on the nominating and selection committee for the HRLF Bob Gatti Leadership Award.
Also joining as a Senior Consultant, Jill Morrissey Phoenix brings 15 years’ experience in search and recruiting to The Bowdoin Group. Before joining the firm, Jill worked as a corporate recruiter with Pegasystems, a leader in software for digital transformation, focusing on tech, legal, finance, marketing, and sales professionals. Prior to that, she spent 12 years at Robert Half Executive Search. Jill holds a J.D. from Suffolk Law and a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Northeastern University.

In addition to these three strategic hires, The Bowdoin Group welcomes Kinjal Vyas as an Associate, Research & Operations, and Renee Gramolini as a Recruiting Coordinator, working directly with clients under our Recruitment Process Outsourcing services. Kinjal previously served as a Global Recruitment Coordinator and Operations Specialist at TraceLink and as a Talent Acquisition Coordinator at Seven Step RPO, while Renee previously worked as a Practice Coordinator at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA.
