Principal, Strategic Accounts

As a Principal, Strategic Accounts, you will develop and build relationships with both senior talent and innovative companies. Principals manage existing client relationships, work to identify new business opportunities, as well as attract, recruit, and screen executives for our senior level searches. We aim to be at the center of the innovation economy by building a network of leaders, influencers, and investors in the industries we serve. Our Principals typically have 6-14 years of industry experience (healthcare, technology, financial services) and/or experience in business development, consulting, and/or recruiting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in a small team alongside our Practice Leaders, Associates, and Research Associates, managing multiple high-level searches and projects
  • Lead execution of client deliverables. Be the main point of contact for our clients and lead weekly client meetings for multiple searches.
  • Build a book of business; leverage candidate relationships, industry events and other networking initiatives to identify new business and communicated Bowdoin’s service offerings
  • Build trusted relationships with executives, venture capitalists, private equity firms, and other influencers in the innovation economy.
